TravelCom 2011 Announces the Executive Women’s Forum to be hosted by the Executive Girlfriends’ Group

17AUG 2010 - Annapolis, MD - TravelCom is pleased to announce that the Executive Girlfriend’s Group (EGG) will be hosting the 2011 Executive Women’s Forum (EWF).  The forum will be held on Wednesday, March 30th, the opening of the three-day event in Las Vegas focused on the travel industry.

 

For 2011, TravelCom will continue its mission to foster collaboration between the leaders in the travel industry and online technology market leaders by creating an effective networking atmosphere and intimate learning environment where senior executives conduct business, share insights, research and strategies.

 

TravelCom, along with the EWF, is in its’ 9th year.  The EWF brings together the movers and shakers within the Travel Industry for high-level, candid discussions around the issues that women face as executive leaders. EWF attendance is by invitation only. 

 

EGG is a networking group for executive women, catering to the business needs and interests of corporate executives, entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, and those in transition.  EGG just celebrated its 2nd anniversary on National Girlfriends’ Day.  It was founded by Chicke Fitzgerald, the CEO of Solutionz, who has been involved with TravelCom and EWF since their inception, as a member of the Advisory Board.

 

A pioneer in social media and social commerce, Ms. Fitzgerald brings 30 years of experience in business strategy, electronic distribution and marketing, specializing in the travel, transportation, mapping, mobile, navigation, search and telecommunications industries. She has held executive positions at Sabre and Worldspan and has been a consultant to American Express, AAA, Travelport, Wyndham Worldwide, Amadeus and the Carlson Companies, as well as Panasonic, Ericsson, Motorola and Intel.  “The EWF has always been paramount to TravelCom. With Chicke’s leadership and dedication, it will be an incredible opportunity for women leaders in travel to share high level experiences and establish solutions to timely issues,” stated Bruce Bommarito, COO of the U.S. Travel Association.

 

TravelCom’s Advisory Board wholeheartedly supports the EWF and is eager to use the EGG community to enrich the already successful program.  Ben Isenberg, TravelCom EVP, Business Development, stated, “With EGG’s year round community, providing resources, best practices and networking opportunities for executive women, they are the ideal partner for TravelCom.”
